These efforts go from genuine interest in the structures we inhabit to boring commisioned work from people who are too blinkered to buy what I do for myself. Even at this level I try to inject some interest into them. We build them, spend our lives paying for them & then feel thankful when we have. In fact some people are so proud of them they have asked me to paint them. All a celebration of vacuous values. The better ones are dramatic representations of these structures.

This is a group of trees in Shipston-on-Stour known as the plantation. I sold both these paintings to the lady who owns the house behind. The pictures were more concerned with the trees.

This is a toyshop in Shipston-on-Stour. I just loved that window with the hoops. I simply had to do a version concentrating on the window. The proprietor of the shop purchased both pictures from me.
